DeVeka Riggins grew up in a family of educators. It was no surprise when she followed in their footsteps and became a teacher. 

But as much as she loved teaching, she couldn’t ignore the low pay and lack of resources. She witnessed how burnout drove great teachers away and knew something needed to change.

That’s when she transition d to human resources. For over a decade, DeVeka has worked tirelessly to bring passionate, mission-driven teachers into classrooms where they’re needed most. But even then, she felt something was missing.

This led her to a bold idea—one that recognizes and rewards educators in a way society often doesn’t. She found a way to tip teachers—just like we tip waiters, baristas, and service professionals—to show appreciation for the life-changing work they do every day. Because she believes teaching isn’t just another job; it’s the one profession that makes all others possible.

Now, she’s on a mission to redefine teacher appreciation. Because when we invest in great teachers, we invest in the future.
